Acupuncture

Point Arena Office

You might be curious to know if acupuncture and Chinese medicine can help you. Maybe you are in pain, or have another condition that is hampering your activities and enjoyment of life. Or maybe you have health goals you want to achieve, like boosting the immune system, losing weight or quitting smoking. Maybe you’d like more energy, better sleep or improved digestion.

For thousands of years, acupuncture has proven to be effective and safe in the treatment of many conditions. These days, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine prove a great complement to modern medicine.

When you come see me, here’s what to expect: First we take your history and discuss your health concerns and goals. Pulse and tongue reading help me determine a diagnosis and treatment plan. Then, you get to relax.

Peaceful, relaxing and private.

Very fine, disposable needles are gently inserted while you rest on a warm (fabulous) far infrared BioMat.

Most people fall deep asleep for 45 minutes or so, as the body begins the process of healing itself.

Cupping relieves pain and inflammation by drawing stagnant fluids and toxins to the surface.

Sometimes other modalities, such as cupping, complete your treatment. Herbal formulas in capsule form may be recommended. Herbs consolidate the effects of acupuncture, address root causes of disharmony, and generally expedite the healing process.

Acupuncture sessions provide a peaceful interlude, time you grant yourself to benefit your health and happiness.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
