For thousands of years, acupuncture has proven to be effective and safe in the treatment of many conditions. These days, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine prove a great complement to modern medicine.
When you come see me, here’s what to expect: First we take your history and discuss your health concerns and goals. Pulse and tongue reading help me determine a diagnosis and treatment plan. Then, you get to relax.
Very fine, disposable needles are gently inserted while you rest on a warm (fabulous) far infrared BioMat.
Most people fall deep asleep for 45 minutes or so, as the body begins the process of healing itself.
Sometimes other modalities, such as cupping, complete your treatment. Herbal formulas in capsule form may be recommended. Herbs consolidate the effects of acupuncture, address root causes of disharmony, and generally expedite the healing process.
Acupuncture sessions provide a peaceful interlude, time you grant yourself to benefit your health and happiness.

General recommendations for scheduling:
Acute pain / illness: Two or three sessions within one week, then reevaluate.
Chronic pain / illness: Six sessions within two weeks, then reevaluate. As condition improves, sessions are scheduled farther apart.
Immune system boost: Two or three sessions within two weeks.
Prevention / Maintenance: Monthly sessions.
Women’s Health: Biweekly or monthly sessions for three months, then reevaluate.
